"Riding a dirt bike or an electric trials bike is the funnest thing I've ever done! It's like being a real-life player in a video game. I never get bored riding because anything in my backyard or out on the trails can be turned into an obstacle. Even a rider just starting out can feel like a pro by practicing skills on a trials bike!"
Kevin started his athletic career skiing for the Manitoba Provincial Cross Country Ski Team in Canada. That's right he's from the Great White North. However, the great outdoors called him to new adventures, and he became an avid rock climber. Like everything Kevin does, he excelled in climbing and bouldering. Together with his wife Alexa, he spent many years touring the US and Mexico in an old VW van. His latest passion is riding dirt bikes... and he loves it the best!
Kevin graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Nevada Reno with a B.S. in Geological Engineering and an M.S. in Geophysics. Check out his LinkedIn page at linkedin.com/in/kevinmcbean.
"I had a hard time learning to ride a motorcycle; I wish I'd had an electric trials bike to learn on! But I stuck with riding, and eventually it became second nature. Now it's the funnest thing I do. Bikes take me to places I wouldn't otherwise get to see, and flowing on a trail is the best! When I'm not riding, I dream about riding, and when I'm riding, I don't think about anything else!"
Alexa started her athletic career riding horses - hunter/jumpers and trail riding - in northern California. She was an adult when she started rock climbing, but that didn't stop her from becoming one of the best female climbers in the world. She and her husband Kevin travelled for years in their van, climbing boulders and just hanging out in nature. But nothing puts a smile on Alexa's face like riding her bike!
